Li Qiuxiao was born in Liaoning, China in 1985. She started learning piano at the age of five. From1998-2004, she studied composition under professor Kong Cong and Liu Sijun at the Primary and Middle School of Central Consercatory of Music (CCOM). From 2004-2009,she studied electroacoustic music composition with professor Chen Yuanlin, Ping Jin, Zhang Xiaofu and studied composition with professor Zhang Lida, Qin Wenchen. In 2009, she graduated from CCOM with Master degree, majoring in electro-acoustic music composition. Currently, She is a second year student for the DMA degree and visiting scholar of University of Missouri of Kansas City. She studies electronic-acoustic music with Prof. Xiaofu Zhang and Prof. James Mobberley.
Her works have been presented multiple times in various major music festivals, such as the Central Conservatory of Music Festival, Beijing Modern Music Festival, MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING, Root Signals Electronic Music Festival and New Horizons Music Festival.Her work “Bristle with Anger” was performed in Rutgers, Sate University of New Brunswick in 2009. “The Dancing Shadow” was commissioned by ELECTROACOUSTIC-BEIJING in 2013.
The piece "WU SONG FIGHTS THE TIGER" was performed in 2014 15th. MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING.
Her thesis “A study on early Chinese Electronic music composition” was awarded the third prize of the 3rd. Electronic Music Academy Award in 2012. In the same year, her thesis was read out in public on the 5th Round Table Discussion and Forum of Development about Asian Electroacoustic Music and was published in“Music communication” in 2013.

李秋筱，青年作曲家，中央音乐学院在读博士，美国密苏里州大学堪萨斯城分校访问学者。
1985年出生于中国辽宁锦州。5岁起学习钢琴，1998年考入中央音乐学院附中作曲系，先后师从孔聪、刘思军教授学习作曲。2004年考入中央音乐学院科技中心，并获全额入学奖学金。大学期间先后师从陈远林教授、金平教授、张小夫教授学习电子音乐作曲，并跟随张丽达教授、秦文琛教授学习作曲。2009年考取中央音乐学院电子音乐作曲公费硕士研究生，2012年起继续在该院跟随张小夫教授攻读电子音乐作曲博士研究生。2013年荣获博士研究生生国家奖学金。2014年，获中国教育部国家留学基金委资助，赴美国密苏里州大学堪萨斯城分校音乐与舞蹈学院访学，跟随詹姆斯.莫伯利与保罗.鲁迪教授学习电子音乐作曲。
李秋筱作品多次在北京国际电子音乐节、中央音乐学院音乐节、北京现代音乐节中演出。2007年，作品《笛声》参加北京国际电子音乐节《变阵2007》——中国青年作曲家计算机音乐新作品音乐会高校巡演。2009年，作品《击鼓骂曹》受美国罗格斯艺术学院邀请在美演出，2011年十月参加北京国际电子音乐节中日校际交流专场演出。 2013年，受北京国际电子音乐节组委会委约，创作三重奏与电子音乐《影零乱》，并与著名大提琴演奏家朱亦兵教授合作，首演于2013年北京国际电子音乐节。2014年，作品《武松打虎》受邀首演于第十五届北京国际电子音乐节开幕式。
李秋筱的论文《中国电子音乐早期创作特点研究》获第三届北京国际电子音乐节论文比赛三等奖，同年在第五届亚洲电子音乐日圆桌会议中宣读，2013年发表于艺术传播。2013年参与《中国新媒体艺术发展简史》中，中国电子音乐发展史第一章编写工作。2011－2013年担任 《中国电子音乐特色研究》——2011-2013 教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地重大项目的项目助理、第三课题助理及第六课题助理。
所获奖项：《细雨诉水》2011年北京国际电子音乐节比赛A组 二等奖、《祭》 2008年北京国际电子音乐节比赛B组二等奖、《木兰花》 2010年北京国际电子音乐节比赛B组三等奖、《击鼓骂曹》2009年北京国际电子音乐节比赛B组三等奖、《笛声》2007北京国际电子音乐节比赛B组优秀奖。
